For organisations held back by disconnected tools, spreadsheets or off-the-shelf software. We build applications around the work you need to do.

CUSTOMSOFTWARE.& digital platforms

Your way of working. Our starting point.

Software that fits. Room to move forward.

Your process has grown. Your tools haven’t.

Information lives in different places. Colleagues keep each other up to date manually. Or customers can’t do something themselves. When these workarounds become everyday work, it’s time to explore a better way.

AYAL turns that question into a practical application. For your employees, your customers or the users of your platform.

Software takes the shape of your work. A fixed set of contours becomes a freeform shape as you scroll.

What we can build.

One focused application or a broader platform. Together, we work out what you need.

A clearer view of everyday work.

An application for the steps, information and decisions that keep your organisation running. So your way of working no longer has to fit around a collection of spreadsheets.

  • Planning & task allocation
  • Reporting & dashboards
  • Requests & approvals
From separate files to one place to work.

A place of their own. For your customers.

Give customers or partners a clear place to provide information, view documents or follow a request. With access that matches their role.

  • Customer & partner spaces
  • Documents & records
  • Status & self-service
From back-and-forth emails to helping themselves.

From a good idea to your own platform.

A digital product used by multiple people or organisations. We turn your idea into a first useful version, then build on what proves necessary in practice.

  • Web applications & SaaS
  • User roles
  • Connections to other systems
Start with the core. Build from there.

Custom software? When it adds value.

New software isn’t always the answer. We also look at your process, the tools you already have and what’s available on the market.

When your way of working needs something of its own.

An important, recurring process doesn’t fit existing tools. Workarounds take up attention and get in the way of what you want to do. You’re ready to invest in an application and its ongoing maintenance.

Discuss your software needs

Sometimes the right foundation already exists.

An off-the-shelf product, better configuration or an integration may be enough. If it solves your problem well, that’s the sensible route. We only build what’s missing.

  1. 01

    Introduction

Tell us what’s happening, who’s involved and what you want to achieve. You don’t need a requirements document or a technical solution yet.

A question, obstacle or idea is enough.
  2. 02

    Exploration & analysis

We examine the process, users and existing systems. What needs to stay? Where does work get stuck? This analysis is part of preparing the proposal.

The solution follows what we learn.
  3. 03

    A proposal that fits

You receive a concrete solution with defined scope, timing and investment. We decide what the first version needs to do and which agreements are needed for what follows.

Clear on what we build and what’s included.
  4. 04

    Design & implementation

Jussi designs and builds. You review progress, try the software and give feedback at agreed moments. We test the agreed functionality and prepare for launch and handover.

Together, we check it against real work.

Access, handover & ongoing management.

An application needs to work beyond day one. That’s why these agreements are part of the proposal.

Access & information

Who can see and do what? We design roles and permissions around your users and discuss which information the application needs.

Managing Microsoft 365 accounts and access
Usage rights & handover

You keep control of your data, content, domains and client-specific accounts. After full payment, you may use the delivered project perpetually and worldwide for your business, without royalties: host, copy, migrate, and have others maintain or modify it. AYAL retains intellectual property by default. We provide source code where agreed or appropriate to the deliverable and record this upfront. Third-party licences still apply.

Maintenance & development

Hosting, updates, backups and support: we agree who is responsible for what and what the project includes. New requests are considered separately.

A few things worth knowing.

Can we start small?

Yes. We choose a first version that supports one important process or a clear user need. It needs to be useful on its own. Then we decide together what makes a sensible next step.

Can the software connect to our existing systems?

Often, provided those systems offer a usable integration or way to exchange information. We investigate the possibilities, limitations and any costs before including the connection in the proposal.

What does custom software cost and how long does it take?

An internal tool for one process is a different project from a platform serving several organisations, roles and integrations. Existing data and migration matter too. We define a useful first version; the proposal sets out timing, cost and what follows.

Is the analysis a separate paid engagement?

No. Exploration and analysis are part of preparing a suitable proposal. You decide whether to start implementation based on that proposal.

What will you need from us?

Insight into your current way of working, someone who can make decisions and users who can try the solution. We agree in advance when your input is needed and how feedback will be handled.
